It's wedding season on the Sugar network, which means the topic of things we bring into a marriage or relationship — from that collection of 200 heels, emotional baggage to extra furniture — is in the air.
Most of you say you couldn't date a non-animal lover, but plenty of couples join together in perfectly blissful animal-loving unions. Did your true love bring a doggy, fishy, kitty or exotic pet to your household?

My husband had a dachshund before we got married. He's my dog now
. We added a cat a
couple of years after we were married.
1When my bf asked me to move in with him in a few months, first words out of my mouth were "You know the dog's coming with me, right?" He laughed and agreed. Unfortunately I had to put down my doggie due to rare cancer, but he knows that when I'm emotionally ready and after we move in, I will be getting a doggie or two, and possible a hamster/guinea pig. He knows this too and is fine with it as well (this is why I love him).
2I brought my cat with me... and my fiance is the first person my cat has actually liked. He hissed at and hid from all my friends, and was purring on my fiance's lap the first time he came over.
3Neither one of us had pets when we got married, but we both come from dog loving families! We're waiting until we have a house with a yard before we get the big black lab that we want!
4I have a 2 lb dog and my fiance has an 18lb cat! Its been the most fun we've ever had

5Surprisingly they get along. Both pets were only pets before moving in together- They also happen to be the same age. We plan on adding another to our group soon!
My hubby brought a severe allergy to cats with him so even though I grew up with only kitties, we adopted a dog six months after our wedding. I couldn't be happier!
