i don't like this because it tells them that the corner of the furniture is ok to scratch.. i totally get that if they're hell bent on doing it anyway, it's better to protect it.. i have managed to keep some of my furniture scratch free, while some hasn't fared as well.. we just have a lot of scratching posts and things around and a not half bad looking cat tree which seems to work for the most part..
