Now that I'm on Twitter, I've been learning quite a bit about the people I'm following and, sadly, today I learned of a tragic accident. According to Martha Stewart's tweets, her new lil pup Ghenghis Khan passed away. In a "tragic propane explosion," the breeder lost 17 Chows both boarders and residents. Martha was waiting until a good time to bring the babe home from Karen Tracy and, while she didn't say there were any human fatalities, unfortunately her little puppy "perished in the blaze." We know all dogs go to heaven, and my heart goes out to Martha, the breeder, and everyone who loved those pups.

Oh no! That is awful! So sorry for her loss... I'm sure Genghis is in doggie heaven with lots of bones and biscuits.

28This is so sad!! All those poor babies *tear tear*!! I would never dream of boarding my puppy, where I go, she goes!! Now that we have a pup, when we plan on our next travel, I'm booking a pet friendly hotel!! I would never board anyway. I think it's awful!! Leaving your baby in some strange place with all those other dogs.

32Thats terrible! It makes you stop and think of the 100,000 dogs and cats that have to be put to sleep daily and the rest that are sitting in the shelters waiting to be loved!
