Do you have something you could go without? Even if you can't sacrifice your daily caffeine fix, think about other consistent things you spend money on. For me, that meant deciding I don't really need a daily, afternoon frozen yogurt break. Whether you say no to a second cup of coffee, cocktails or one less meal out, take the extra money and put it aside. Save it up, then use it to put food in the mouths of needy pets at a shelter near you. I bet even my pals Fit and Savvy would approve of this!

It's a good idea. I know my local shelter is always needing food, towels, and cleaning supplies. Last year, they ended up getting a dog who had some kind of illness. They had to get rid of everything and treat every animal in the shelter to keep all the other animals from getting sick. When things like that happen, these shelters are pretty much left in the dark because they can't afford to do a massive replacement like that.
My point... it's always good to donate to your shelter.
1That is a good idea and the doggy in that pic is sooooo cute!
2I am doing the Walk for the Animals fundraiser to benifit a large local Humane Society. You bring you dog to downtown and everyone walks with there dog to raise money. Its a lot of fun and they note on the papers how much money a $10 donation can cover for animals at the shelter.
