North's happy to announce we're in the middle of a veritable heat wave in SF since he's not a cold weather fan! If you live in a colder climate where your snow bunnies can run and play (and hopefully pee) in the white stuff, try tossing them a snowball. Say you don't have the similarly-shaped toy at the ready, would your fetch loving pets chase a snowball in a pinch?

My Boston/Yorkie is not a big fan of cold but she likes to jump in the snow when it's not freezing. She also likes to lick virgin white snow. I think that if I make her fetch a snowball, she will have eaten have of it by the time she brings it back
1We tried tossing a few snowballs around and she jumped up in the air to catch it and then became dazed when she couldn't find it (it broken into pieces when she grabbed for it). It was a sight to see!
2I love doing this with my pups.
3I'm in orange county, ca and yesterday we were at 89°!! I think the snow in big bear will melt before we get a chance to get out there.
4My little lady is a pitbull/boxer mix, so she's full of energy. Throwing snowballs into the snow and watching her scramble to find them is probably the only thing that keeps her attention for over 10 minutes.
5My pup LOVES catching snowballs - but he eats them. And then he wont stop eating snow. It's fun to watch.
6PS - It's -10 right now...
Nope, Zena hates the snow, so no snowballs.
7I have two doxies. Sweetie hates even getting wet let alone cold and wet so it is a challenge to get her outside at all in the winter. But Giz is another story. A couple of weeks ago it was snowing very big fluffy flakes and while I was shovelling a path for Sweets, Giz was chasing the snowflakes, jumping to get them, bounding through the snow in the yard, it was hilarious. Especially since the snow piled up in the yard was my knee height and he is a rather fat doxies weighing in at 24 pounds. I figured he was getting a good workout.
8That picture is so cute.
My black lab, Ebony, loved doing that. And she loved rolling around in the snow! She was a very adventurous dog. She loved the snow, and she loved rolling and running along the beach in the summer. I miss her just thinking about it.
9Took P on our ski trip for the first time and she loved the snow!! She chased after snow balls like crazy and would have done all day if I didn't go skiing!
10My childhood dog has seen snow. He hates it. But my dad's new dog hasn't. I have a feeling he would chase snowballs. When it rains, he'll jump up and down in the yard catching raindrops. (He's a goofy dog.)
11If my yorkie went outside in the snow he would probably either start shaking really bad or die of shock. He hates the cold. He does have a scarf, sweater and little boots but he is only 3 pounds so I don't think that would be enough for him.
12i love snow (being born and raised in NJ) but our pup was born and adopted in our new home...Miami so he won't be seeing snow for a while lol he'd prob love it though
