Well, we've been waiting for word on which lil Chow Chow Martha Stewart would be adding to her family, and she's finally made her choice! Meet Genghis Khan, this adoro grandson of the late Paw Paw. He's just seven weeks old and the only boy in his litter (with two sisters) – I wonder if lil Sharkey and Francesca are ready for him?!
Turns out Martha waited for another litter so those pups we saw her cuddling with before (including a different pup named "Khan") have found other happy homes. Check out another cute shot of this pooch when you read more.

10I normally don't like tiny dogs, but that one is adorable.
11so adorable
12I've never liked Chows, but man they are SO cute as puppies! I love the name, it's awesome!
13Well Jessiebanana, he will get bigger. Article says he is only 7 weeks old.
Very very cute pics, but I'll pass on those dogs, I hear they aren't good around kids.
I had the fortunate opportunity to see some just born German Shepard pups. Sooooooo dang cute! My friend got one of the pups and about 6 months old now, such an adorable puppy.
14look at that face how can he see.heehee
But those dogs are vicious. My godfather had two and they were monsters.. They hate kids
15awwwwww what a widdle fuzz ball! i wanna squeeze him and give him lots of kisses!
16SO cute!
17I've had two and just lost one on October 10 to a rare form of cancer. They are very cute puppies and dogs but also very loyal. I for one do not like kids but would never have dreamed of putting either around anyone shorter than me. They are very prone to want to be the alpha dog so you have to lay down the law at an early age. I have pics of both on my profile. My LuLu is the one that just passed.
18He is a cutie patootie!
19What a cute dog!
20He remind me of a stuffed puppy I once have. Too cute.
21When my hubby and I were at the shelter picking out our pup, we were really torn because all the "part-Chows" were super adoro in their fluffiness, but from everything we read, we knew wanted to avoid them. In the end, we stuck with our cutie black lab/collie.
22OMG what a little puff of cuteness now. I hear this breed is very independent with heaps of personality, rather like Martha herself.
23He is TOO CUTE!
Please - can we not stereotype breeds on a pet board?? I have a chow chow and a greyhound. Believe me, my chow is my life. She is the sweetest dog ever (even her doggie daycare staff agrees), loves people, and likes to play with other dogs. I know she will be gentle with my baby (due in 2 wks) because I've seen her around my niece and she is a very well trained dog. I actually have much less confidence that our greyhound will do as well as my chow (he is kind of spastic and excitable).
I personally believe that while individual dog personality is very important - it's also all about how YOU raise your dog. You make the effort to expose them and socialize them with other animals and people of all ages, train them properly to understand who is the alpha (you), provide them with basic control commands, and give them sufficient exercise and attention. Having a good dog is largely the responsibility of the dog owner to invest the time in having a happy and healthy dog to begin with.
24hahaha~ his eyes!!! what an adorable little puppy!! toooo toooooo cute! ♥
25I will step up and apologize for my breed-stereotyping. I very much agree that it is unfair to characterize a breed as "bad" given the huge role that training plays in how a dog behaves. There are great dogs of every breed. However, from everything that we read, we knew that a Chow would require much more intensive training, on average, than the Lab that we ended up with. I don't think we were being "breedist", we were just being realistic about our current situation and the best dog for us at this point in time.
Best of luck with your new Holiday baby, Sunny!
26It doesn't even look real it's so damn cute.
27lol martha and all her damn chow dogs.....those things can be nasty and vicious but they are so cute i don't think i would mind lol.
28Beyond adorable.
29awwwwww!! this is SO cute! i just sent the link to my mom too
if only they could stay this small too! i wouldn't be able to help myself lol i'd buy like 6!
30omg look at those squinty eyes. it's so cute. his face looks like he has a permanent sneeze.
31He is sooo cute! I have always wanted a Chow, I'm glad to hear from the people who have had Chows find that they don't all fit the sterotype
32so cute! i want to bury my face in his softy fur! and squeeze him.
33Aw... he's SO cute!
marybethrizalucy, I'm sorry about the loss of your little LuLu. That's so sad.
34OOOOOOOOMMMMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i WANNNTTTTT HiM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HE IS SOOOOO CUTE
35I just lost my precious chow mix after ten years. He was the best dog. So loyal and sweet. He was incredibly smart and was so protective (in a good way) of the family. His death absolutely devastated me.
I don't want anyone to dismiss a chow or chow mix solely on the basis of some "horror" stories. Those stories are not indicative of the breed. In most cases involving dogs, there is usually some other factor that came into play other than the breed. All dogs, like people, should be taken on a one-on-one basis. You wouldn't (or at least shouldn't) dismiss a person based on their appearance. Dogs deserve the same benefit of the doubt.
36Just a shame that someone in the spotlight isnt putting more emphasis on adopting pets instead of waiting through litter after litter. The puppy is absolutley adorable, but i feel more for the pets stuck in the pound. There are lots of puppies at shelters!
37omg they look just like pomeranian puppies!
38i haved one when i was a kid 7/8 year old... she was really loyal, and take care of my and my stuff... they are really sweet
39i love my dogs a lot
