Loop Dog House: Spoiled Sweet or Spoiled Rotten?

I think the design of this Loop Dog Bed I found on Unica Home is modern and lovely, but I'm not quite sure why it comes in at $700 bucks — the hut is made of faux leather, and the bed itself is stuffed with silicone fibers!

For that price tag, I would have expected an ostrich leather outside, goosedown feathers in the pillow, and maybe some gold. Like 24 karats of it.

I think it's just ugly and it defeats the whole purpose dogs like to have little houses/beds. To feel safe and warm. How is something that has TWO openings supposed to be safe (predators and evil kittys can sneak up on a poor sleeping poochie that probably can't turn around without getting one of the side "Walls" in his poochie-face.

I don't mind paying a lot for pet furniture that is well made and really good looking, but this is UGLY and made with crappy materials!!!
