Since North and I plan to celebrate Thanksgiving with pals, I'm hoping he keeps his nosy lil self out of trouble while I'm baking. After all, he does believe in "helping himself" . . . even if that means conning my generous friends with his puppy dog eyes.
Luckily, he's too short to make it on top of the table to lick the turkey (true story from my childhood bestie), but I don't think his size limits the trouble he gets into. What's it like at your home? I want to hear all about those dining disasters I hope won't happen again this year . . . for your sake.

My kitchen is pretty tame now. They only time my cats have caused any trouble is when they decide to play in the kitchen while I'm cooking. A while ago I was removing a casserole from the oven I guess my girls were having to good a time playing in the kitchen to realize the danger of a 400 degree oven. Chloe slammed head first into the open door while Ursula jumped over her and land all four paws on the hot oven door. I have never heard such a horrible yowl in my life and hope never to again. I immediately ran cold water in the kitchen sink and put her and a few trays of ice in the sink. Of course she immediately wanted to get out of the water and run away but I held her there and I guess she realized the cold water was soothing her paws. I called the vet and took her in. Thankfully no damage or injury to her little paws. But I will tell you now my girls see me anywhere near the oven they stay away.
