This year, I'm planning a local, low-key Thanksgiving celebration that North can attend, but I'm curious how you will be including (or not including) your pets next Thursday.

Thanksgiving and Christmas are the two holidays that our dogs stay with us for. For Thanksgiving, we are usually just with my brother and he's got a shepherd mix and rat terrier, so add my two weiners to the mix and the four dogs have a blast.
At Christmas we go to my Moms. EVERYONE brings their dogs over for that one. We usually have about 30 humans and at least 20 dogs. It's crazy, loud, there's usually at least one or two "arguments" between all the animals, but it's never been bad and everyone has a great time. The animals even get presents to open.
1All holidays are at my parents house. My parents have a dachshund, I bring my dachshund, my brother has a doberman/sharpei mix, my sister has a husky and my aunt brings her sheitzhu(sorry-I'm sure the spelling is wrong). Add in all the relatives that come without pets and its pure chaos! But its fun chaos!! We do gifts for all the dogs too. They all have stockings with their names on them...none of us have any kids so they are all our children. We are a MAJOR dog family!
2Kitty is driving the 2 1/2 hours home with me to stay at my parents house.
3We are flying down to Florida and Basil will be staying at the kennel.
4One cat will be with me en route to her new home with my mom. The other will be holding down the fort at home (I'll only be gone a couple of days, but she's going to be PISSED).
5I'm sad to leave Ollie at home this year for Thanksgiving, but I'll leave some turkey (treats) for him and all will be forgiven.
6Right by my side. Christmas they will be right by my side too as we travel to my parents. (6mins away LOL)
7This is the first Thanksgiving my fiance and I are doing together at our house, so we're staying at home with the pups (who get their own kibble-gravy-potato-turkey-cranberry feast in their bowls too!). The last few years we've always taken Otto with us to Boston- all my dogs seem to love flying with us. I'm too attached to my little schnauzers to leave them alone on the holidays- I have so much to thank them for! =)
8Flying with my dog back to my hometown in New York.
9My new 8 week old Chihuahua "Chuy" will be with us at my parents but my older dog will stay with family while we travel. With four kids, two dogs is just two much to ask my parents to deal with!
10my 3 kats will be in our warm toasty garage....
11We're very lucky that our friends share our love for animals. My friend's have a nice fenced in yard and we celebrate many evening parties there. The dogs are the truly special guests and there are usually 7-15 present at any given occasion. In fact we'll be hanging out over there tonight.
Merlot will be home, but she'd rather be home anyways. She's a persian and very independent. She will have a special dinner though!
12Sadie Grace will be comming with me to her grandma's house to play with her buddies Freddie and Sanchez!
13Sassafras will be visiting a kennel for the first time. He will NOT be happy with me when I get back. but I just moved this month & I don't know anyone yet. Petsitting services were completely booked.
14they will be traveling with me!!!
15My pets are staying with me. I don't think any of them would do too well in a kennel.
