Yesterday, Bella got to catch up with Paris Hilton as she spread her fairy dust all over San Francisco – I mean, came to town to promote her new fragrance, Fairy Dust – and shared that one of her earliest goals (other than president and mother) was to actually help furry friends:
When I was little, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. Then I got older and realized that you had to put them to sleep, give them shots, take their blood, and do things like that. I just couldn't do that.
Even though she sometimes struggles with the animals she does own, I can relate to a childhood dream of becoming a vet and her realization about why it can be a tough job for a sensitive animal lover. Did any of you toy with the idea of becoming a vet . . . when you were still playing with toys?

Nike
Of course! Until I realized I was going to have to deal with other animals than cats and dogs. Also having to put them to sleep was a total deal breaker
1being a vet was my dream job growing up, but like paris said I just could not deal with putting dogs to sleep and I can't stand the sight of blood..
my dream now is when I'm old, I'm going to open up a no-kill animal shelter.
2You CANNOT be serious, Pet!!
She treats her pets like FASHION ACCESSORIES and not living creatures. She rotates through them like purses and shoes.
And she couldn't be a vet because she's a freaking moron.
3I wanted to be a Marine Biologist-Zoologist when I was growing up so I could play with any animal I wanted haha. I didn't really understand what that would really mean at the time...
4i'm sure it had NOTHING to do that she would actually have to go to school and study instead of paying to get through it and resist snorting coke....
5I did when I was younger, then I got to biology class in high school and had to dissect a frog. That was the end of my wanting to be a vet. ha-ha.
6"When I was little, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. Then I got older and realized that you had to put them to sleep, give them shots, take their blood, and do things like that. I just couldn't do that"....."So now, I just let them run wild and reproduce like mad."
Someone who truly cares about their animal family members would never allow for such squaller.
7My dream to be a vet went down the tubes when I was 8. I had take my dog to the vet because she had a foxtail in her paw. I sat there with my Mom and watched the vet cut my dog's paw and pull the foxtail out. It was horrifying.
8I'm struggling with becoming a vet now! But the crazy thing is when I was a child, I always knew I wanted to work with animals, but I always said, "Never a vet because of euthanasia, blood, needles, etc."
After working at a clinic, I realized all of these procedures are in the best interest of the animal and found out that I was a lot tougher than I initially thought.
