This is just to make you aware that the AKC has now agreed that the "long-hair" whippet is a crossbreed. It is not a pure whippet. It was most likely crossed with a sheltie or saluki. It was requested by many whippet breeders that the "long-hair" be referred to as Windsprite. I will now get off of my high horse.
1PS I have been in whippets in one form or another since 1962.
