we have one of those log cabin ones but our dog won't use it. we got it in case we had to leave him in the backyard for awhile (like if we're having people over for dinner). I got a big
cushion for it and got inside myself to try to show him it was ok and there was plenty of room -- it didn't work!
We've never had a yard so he's always just lived inside with us. He does have his crate though. We're buying a house soon but I don't think we'll get one still. He doesn't like to be outside
much, it's too hot.
mi casa es su casa. carson has a bed in each room and sometimes takes up residency on our bed but aside from that, it's his house as much as it's our house.
She has a house in the backyard, but she only uses it when she's outside (usually when we're at work) and if it's really cold and/or rainy. If her humans are inside, she wants to be too!
besides owning every type of crate imaginable, there's also a doggie igloo outside that costs a million bucks. and, the dogs refuse to go inside it!!!!!! hopefully when it starts raining
it'll get used cause so far only the bugs are taking up house in it.
Back when I was 2 or so my dad built a great big doghouse for our families two dogs.
It was insulated, vented, raised on a platform and had a emergency hinge thingy on the roof so you could open the roof to get access to our giant dogs if they got sick and hid in the house.
Basically he built a smaller scale human house for two dogs that he claimed to dislike but knew his wife and kids loved.
When I was about 8 I decided that the dogs needed to move out of that house so that I could have it as my playhouse so I built a replacement. Let's call it a shack or slum for our dogs. It
looked like something from a Tim Burton movie.
My dad condemned it and tore it down. That was the one time it sucked having a dad who had already spent over 30 years in construction with the Navy and was a chief building inspector in our
county.

2Fuji has a little tent that I got from Ikea inside my apartment. It's his little home and a place he goes to when he's fed up with me. lol.

7Our landlords left a dog house in the back yard, but my roommate's dog never uses it. She much prefers the couch!
