I've heard that when necessity strikes ordinary people can suddenly perform superhuman strengths. Such is the case with an Islamorada, FL man who decided to take on a shark, beating its head to get the animal to release his prized pooch, Jake, from the jaws of death. The five-foot-long creature already had almost the entire 14-pound Rat Terrier in its mouth . . . but thankfully, there's a happy ending.

So sweet! I think I'd do the same for my girl.
how sweet! his daddy loves him.
Awww, I saw him on Good Morning America, and the poor pooch has nightmares now, waking up in the middle of the night. He hasn't taken him back to the water yet, so he doesn't know if the dog still loves to swim.
Did you see the dog wink? He's SO cute! What a lucky little fella to survive that.
I hope little Jake gets well soon. They're lucky to have each other
