I never thought I'd actually see a pig fly, but I guess anything's possible! Fairgoers in Melbourne, Australia have been seeing pigs fly for the past nine years during the annual Royal Melbourne Show that takes place in September. During the exhibition, pigs compete in races and diving contests to see who is top pig.

The lovely porker shown here is Miss Porky Pig, and has been competing for the title against other favorites like Ham Bone, Bacon Bone, and Porky Chop. Unfortunately, each pig only competes for one season, so this is definitely her time to shine!

And PETA isnt protesting against that brain-shrinking nonsense? Sorry but i feel so sorry for the little oikers. UNBELIEVABLE
1Oh, I want to go so bad!
2Oh and dogs do jumping in water contests too. It doesn't say anything about the pigs being thrown, so maybe they like doing it. Let's not jump to something without knowing the facts. Granted I don't know them either, but don't get outraged yet. Get some information and then say it's UNBELIEVABLE
3hop right onto my barbecue little wilbur.
4My niece would love something like this! She's in love with pigs, her favorite animal at the zoo was the warthog.
5@queenegg: Just look onto a pigs anatomy then you might realize that a big is not ment to be a natural jumping or landing animal (limbs are not strong enough to hold the weight of a landing pig-body). Furthermore i have to admit that our pigs all they way down were very couraged, always trying something new, but jumping or been thrown was never involved. Probably i should have paid more attention to my "pig-ish for starters" lessons to interpret their oik better.
6anyway if that is right, that there is something like throwing animals, i can still only shake my head on that.
