Considering cat trees and towers sit out in the same room as your Cherner Armchair and flat screen TV, these purchases can be considered furniture, right? While I've shared both expensive and affordable versions, I began to wonder if you felt these items warranted the same price point as other home furnishings.
Take this handcrafted tower for example – the materials are very high-end (bamboo and microsuede) . . . as is the price ($849). Does this type of item have a place in your home?

They can be just as happy with that homemade one you showed us how to make. For 100 dollars.
1I'd rather donate the difference to help homeless animals
2I think not!
3well, I paid 200 for my cats' "tower" so I could get rid of all hideous plastic or carpet things in my small house. but there is no way I'd pay any more than that, and I struggled over that decision for awhile. plus, I think the above tower is ugly.
this is what I have:

I'd be willing to splurge on items for my pets - but pets can be so fickle. It's just too good a chance for me to blow a lot of money for my pets to be disinterested.
