Although I've studied Sea Otters...so I kinda had prior knowledge
7Their favorite food is Sea Urchins. They keep the urchin population in check, which in turn allows kelp to thrive. When Sea Otters were almost hunted to extinction, it almost caused the widespread decimation of kelp forests due to a population explosion of Sea Urchins.
Just a reminder about the delicate balance of ocean ecosystems.
