LA-based Kitten Rescue held their 10th Anniversary Fur Ball this week, hosted by The Office's Jenna Fischer – who's united with Bones' Emily Deschanel – for a good cause . . . cats!
Celebrities show they care about kitties, too, as funds from this party (featuring cocktails like a “Fuzzy Kitten” and the “Tom Cat”) support the nonprofit's Kitten Rescue Sanctuary. In addition to that shelter for unwanted cats, Kitten Rescue offers a foster home socialization system for adoptable cats and educational information on subjects ranging from new kitten care to proper maintenance of a feral cat colony. So far this 100 percent volunteer-run organization has saved and adopted out over 9,000 animals since its inception, but it's setting its sights on an even bigger goal: to make Los Angeles a no-kill city.
