The Puppy Sling is essentially a fancy baby carrier for a pup. It ranges in price from about $50 to $65, depending on how many embellishments you desire and can hold up to 18-pounds. I can see where the sling would come in handy before your pup has gotten his or her shots and is technically not allowed outside, but I don't know many people who would feel comfortable totting Toto around like a baby. Would you use one to transport your little one?

I actually have that exact one. ha. I used it a lot more when I just had one dog.
1Now I don't use it often at all,
but when I was using it, it was very helpful.
It was mostly if I was wanting to take Bella to the store with me,
it gave me a closer, hands-free hold on her.
Honestly, I would never carry Newton around in a pouch if we were outdoors, but because I live in an apartment/condo building, where the dogs must be carried through the halls, I would definately use it to carry him when I have a large load to take up with me.
2My 2 year old shih tzu is disabled and has a hard time walking for any amount of time. I have a stroller for him but he doesn't like being in the little cage like cart. I would be able to take him with me if I had this. Right now he either misses out when I take my other dog or they both miss out because I feel badly about leaving him out.
3j4everlasting- how in the world are owners supposed to carry their pets who aren't small? I have never heard of such a rule. Wow.
4I just don't think I could keep a straight face if I saw someone wearing this on the street.
5I'm torn on this one. For a healthy dog that can walk, put him down and let him walk. Dogs need their exercise. However, My dog suffered an embolism in her spinal cord about a year ago. She was paralyzed from her "waist" down. She is able to waddle around now, thanks to an amazing rehab center; But for 6 months after the accident she couldn't even drag herself. She's a large dog, but had she been small, I would have loved for her to have something like this. To be able to take her outside and get some fresh air when she couldn't.
6You know, I really don't know on this one. I guess I'll just say that they would be spoiled rotten, but in a good way. Yeah.
