Yesterday 56 percent of PetSugar readers predicted Presley and Travis would be crowned the champions of Greatest American Dog and they were spot on! Travis, the lovable 29-year-old bartender, and Presley, his one-and-a-half year old Boxer, took their triumphant victory lap together after beating out the 11 other teams of dogs and owners from across the US. Travis accepted the honor with complete humility, saying:
"The greatest American dog doesn't have to be perfect...It's about the love for your animals."

LOVE THEM! But, no I don't think Presley is the Greatest American Dog. Not yet at least. I'm not so sure Andrew is either - he is too attached to Laurie. Personally, I like Galaxy and Star.
1I agree, I really liked star and thought he is currently the GAD, though Presley has potential.
Did anyone but me notice that in the logo the dog is a boxer, and it was like that from the getgo....foreshadowing perhaps the winner?!?! It had been bugging me all season why they would put a breed of dog that was on the show in the logo...who knows!!
2Ooooo I am so happy they won! They are a great team and he is a good owner
3Congrats to Presley and Travis!
Ahh I'm so sad it's over :'(
I was rooting for Bill and Star from the start, I was so bummed that they were sent home.
I definitely felt like the judges should have given Galaxy and JD more of a chance though.
4I do agree whole heartidly with the judges. Travis was the most sincere
5and compasionate competitor. While others made snide remarks and such he was quiet and may have thought but never said anything to offend. In my books he and Presley are NUMBER 1. Well done
I believe the judges made the correct choice in picking Presley as the
6winner. He and Travis were meant for each other. Boxers are loyal and trusting to the bitter and end, and I reckon Travis showed that of himself as well. A very good pair indeed. Congratulations.
BOXERS ROCK
I loved Presley from the beginning. You cant go wrong with a boxer. They are beautiful dogs. Travis is lucky to have Presley in his life, and visa versa. How much trouble the others had trying to get their dogs to do simple tasks, and Presley just seemed to breeze right in there and
7do it. No probs
