We talked fetching so now let's talk catching: This morning I attempted to teach North how to grab tiny treats with his mouth. He was spot on with the snapping when I sat close by . . . but I admit I was throwing it directly at his mouth so all he really had to do was open wide. Have you ever tried to toss treats for your pets to catch mid-air?

B-Bop can catch something light like popcorn because it's a little slower. Anything else is a no go.
1my dogs are very good at catching treats...
2one of my mother's dogs, a tweeny dachshund cannot catch for his life. Even if you drop it from right above him, it just falls on his face! It's so silly!
I have cats. If I ever tried throwing a treat at them, they'd just dodge it and then look at me funny.
3Ollie is a pro at catching treats. Him, miss a shot at food? Pffft.
4My dog is extremely good at catching treats, balls, toys, and anything else that comes by his mouth.
5my boyfriend's dog can, but my dog can't catch any food in his mouth. i throw it at him and it'll just hit his nose or he'll move away and just watches it fall and smiles. haha so silly ;P
6Stella jumps super high to catch treats, especially baby carrots!
7Axle can pretty much catch anything you throw at him. He's really quick!
Newton is useless When it comes to catching though. The treat or toy usually hits him in the head, and then he'll sit there and stare at you or it as if to say 'WTF'.
8Chewie always tries to catch things with her paws, but she usually misses.
9I finally managed to convince Fitzy to catch food in his mouth this weekend. He's been able to catch his toys for a few months now, but when it came to food he'd just sit and let the food hit him in the head while he looked at me with a dumb look on his face. I was so proud of him when it clicked in head to open his mouth when i threw the food at him, I think I scared my neighbors by yelling "That's my boy! Who's the smartest puppy ever! Who's a good boy!" Nope, I'm not a geek at all.
