It's a pretty well known fact that if the hair on the back of a dog is standing up, and his lips are curled that he's ready to attack. But aggressive dogs may also display forward ears, and a wrinkled forehead.

This is actually quite interesting. My dog is constantly doing the worried position when I catch her chewing on something she shouldn't be! So at least I know she realizes.
