she came from my mama cat @ my mom's house
I found her in an ally all cold and meowing and skinny so I took her home and of course my mom couldn't say no. She had 2 litters because we spayed her but my mom kept all 3 from the first
and 2 from the second and I also kept 1 from the second
My mom got Jelly from some people giving away kittens at like the grocery store. They were in a box and my mom picked out the all black one. I was only like one at the time so I didn't hve
much say. I miss her! RIP Jelly!! 1984-2006
i got my first kitten pebbles from a relative who found her and her mum and litter in her garage, she took them in and now we've got her!! my other kitten dino was from a pet shop, above him
were pigeons and he had all bird poop on his back, there was another kitten out of his litter in the same cage as him but he was double the size!! the pet shop was disgusting, they couldn't
even sex him properly plus they were feeding him dog food. He was so weak when we got him we thought he would die and he wouldn't eat any cat food. My mum had to force feed him egg for
protein. Im really happy hes fine now. Pet shops shouldn't keep kittens or any big animals. Cats like dogs can't be stuck in cages and need exercise.
My cat came from an ex-boyfriend in high school. His aunt had gotten a kitten and her husband wouldn't let her keep it, so he brought her to me. My other cat, who is gone now, was from a lady
who caught him and was going to take him to a shelter where she had already taken his mom and siblings.
Eva came from a litter that a friend of my mom's cat had. Her mom's owner lived in the boonies and soon after I took Eva home her mom and most of the rest of her litter were picked off by
coyotes!
All my kitties were strays! I found a little gray one in jr. high, played with it and then put it back where I found him. About a half an hour later he came trotting down my street to me. He
had literally followed me home, even though I lived around a corner. My mom didn't want to keep him, but he was so cute she couldn't resist.
My mom's friends found a real little one, but were allergic so she brought that one home. And mom was feeding a beautiful, but skinny, calico and after a couple weeks it hopped into her lap
and she's been ours ever since.
Our current kitty is from a breeder. After we lost our last 2 kitties hubby really wanted another cat but he had always wanted a Maine Coon so we looked into breeders and that's how we got
our Jack. We'd reserved him before he was born and picked him out at birth.
Our previous kitties were a stray and an adoption from another family.
Bella came from a shelter, as a 6 week old kitten. The minute I picked her up she crawled up on my shoulder and snuggled into my neck. How do you say no to that!!! (She still does it) Tim
came from a friend who had to give him up due to allergies in the house. They both make me so happy.. if I'd have known how much fun, and what joys pets would bring to my life, I'd have
gotten one much sooner!
Fiona was adopted from the Humane Society. A year later, I was at Waffle House late-night and I heard a kitten crying in a storm drain on a busy street, so my friends and I stopped traffic,
pulled him out of the drain and rushed him to the emergency vet clinic. Once he was healed of his various injuries he came home with me. No creature loves its person like a rescued creature.
Mine was a stray that was living at the pool at my apartment complex, drinking pool water and catching roaches (the giant, texas-sized ones...I don't know if she actually ate them, since
she's really picky and a lousy hunter). She was around for a few weeks and just kept getting skinnier, so I finally relented and took her to the vet, then made her part of the family.
i adopted my cat from petsmart's adoption program. i think it's silly to get a pure bred cat and/or plan ahead and wait for a kitty litter. and, i'd never buy a pet from a pet store - talk
about just asking for a sick pet. there are always a ton of cats in need of good homes and while the older ones might not be as cute as the kittens - they are just as lovable and in need of
love.
my first cat came from a vet my friends worked at. she was found on the streets with her brothers and someone brought them in to be cared for by the vet. our second cat came from a friend of
a friend whos cat had a litter.
Most of the kitties we've had came either from the humane society or we rescued them other ways. We adopted Amy and Nicki because we saw an ad in the paper that a couple had older cats that
they had to give up because of their daughter's severe allergies. We adopted another kitten, Max, after he followed us home from the beach. We found out that a neighbor had dumped his whole
litter on the street to fend for themselves. We did purchase Jasper, however. His mama was a Persian show cat and had gotten out and gotten pregnant by a stray in our neighborhood. Her owner
was very annoyed that her precious show cat had given birth to these impure kittens, but we thought they were absolutely beautiful, so we bought one from her for $30 bucks.
We found our first kitty outside on our neighbor's porch in our apartment complex. It was pouring rain and dark outside, and we were leaving to go somewhere and heard her meowing (thankfully,
my hubby has amazing hearing!). She was just a few days old, and we found out later her mom and siblings had been taken to the shelter but she got left behind (her mom had started moving the
litter and had only gotten her moved). Thankfully, Petsmart was open and we could get some KMR and a bottle for her. Then she needed a friend to teach her how to be a cat, so we got another
kitten from the shelter.
I got my Hey Arnold from a Kennel eleven years ago. When we were searching for the perfect kitten to get home, my mom held him the whole time and he didn't try to get down or anything, so we
picked him. After that day, no one could hold him for longer than thirty seconds without him trying to make his way back to the ground! So I guess he really knew how to get into a good home
by acting like he enjoyed being held, eh? We wuv him dearly anyway.
My brother and his friend found a cat and kept her in our building's basement. They fed her down there. She became pregnant and then she had the babies and they put her by the garbage in a
box. Other kids down the block took cats and/or took care of them while they were in the box. One cat stayed at my house because the next day my sister was going to take him to her friend's
house. She couldn't keep him. We asked if we could keep him and my grandmother finally said yes. We gave him to my sister's friend and she trained the cats. I guess I should have said
kittens. Anyway, that is where my kitties came from. I have no idea where the mom went, but she was kinda ours. We just weren't allowed to keep her in the house.
I picked animal shelter, because that's where most of them have been from. Three of our current four came from the same shelter (two littermates as kittens, and one as a 3-yr-old), and the
two older cats we had previously came from a shelter when they were kittens. Our youngest found us, however; two of my husband's coworkers found him alone and crying in the rain, and he ended
up coming home with us. (We checked with the shelter and by looking for 'lost kitty' announcements to make sure he wasn't being looked for, but never saw nor heard anything.)
i got my cat Tia 4 years ago for free from a local newspaper add she was still so young that she really should not of yet been taken from her mother but we did not know that now she clings to
me as if i am her mother she is the most adorable cat. I travel alot about once or twice a month for a week at a time and when i cant take her i leave here home with my mom. and my mother
calls me and Tia will be crying on the other end of the phone and sometimes she will lay in my bed and cry when im not there or she cant find me.
Tiger came from the local humane society where they don't put them down. I had a beautiful white/tortie siamese named Sophie and after her we adopted Tiger as a playmate. Unfortunately, we
had to get rid of her as she was spraying, despite her being fixed. We tried again with another female because Tiger was lonely, and chubby Lily came about. She started spraying as well, not
sure if it was a territorial issue. Needless to say, I kept in contact with the humane society ensuring my girls did find a home, which they did and rather fast. Tiger is now a happy fat cat
with 2 spunky Boston terriers.
One of my cats I found on the side of the highway as a kitten and the other we adopted through our local spca and petsmart at around 10 weeks. love them both!
Danica was the result of someone's purbred getting it on with a stray, so she was a stray. Well, they lost out on a wonderful kitten because my husband's friends found her and another kitten
and I got to keep Danica. The first time I seen her she meowed at me and ran up to me and that was it. A lot of people I was talking to about her were grossed out because she was a stray and
she filfthy and blah blah blah. Well, I got rid of those "friends" and now Danica and I share a great bond together.

All of our kids are rescue-kitties. With som many in need of homes I can't imagine ever visiting a breeder or a pet store
1she came from my mama cat @ my mom's house

One cat came from a local rescue organization. The other I rescued off the street myself.
3A no kill animal shelter for cats.
4My grandfather found Wicket in a briar patch on his farm in South GA while he was riding his tractor one day.
5My mom got Jelly from some people giving away kittens at like the grocery store. They were in a box and my mom picked out the all black one. I was only like one at the time so I didn't hve much say. I miss her! RIP Jelly!! 1984-2006
6I've had cats that I've picked off the street, from a pet store and from the vet/shelter.
7Renee, Jelly lived 22 years?? Wow! I'm sorry you're missing her
One of my cats came from an ad in the paper for free kittens. The other one was a stray a friend found.

14One from a breeder (the munckin) one from animal shelter and one from a rescue organization.
15Three were from the Humane Society, and one was a rescue at a vet hospital. So many need homes!
16All of ours are rescues from the shelter. How could anyone go to a pet store or breeder when some many homeless animals need homes!!!!

19Both of the cats I had growing up (they still live with my parents) were strays. My dad found them in a gas station next to some shrubbery!

23I had lost my cat (of 13 years) and I was SO down. About a month later my son came home with a little white kitten in a shoe box. How sweet of him. ^^
One of his friends (from school), his cat had a litter of kittens. She was the last one.
24We found our first kitty outside on our neighbor's porch in our apartment complex. 26There's a great no-kill shelter in our area where my bf and I got our cat.

28My cat sorta adopted me, I gave him some food once after my other cat died and he's been here ever since.
29A co-worker had my kitten first, but she was severely allergic, so I offered to take her so that she wouldn't end up in a shelter.

32ASPCA day 2008!
33I "rescued" my cat from a college student who had him in his dorm room but couldn't take him home for the summer.
34I got Mimi from a friend who had too many pets.
35i got my cat Tia 4 years ago for free from a local newspaper add she was still so young that she really should not of yet been taken from her mother but we did not know that now she clings to me as if i am her mother she is the most adorable cat.
