Considering Jessica's toting tendencies, Ashlee may be taking tips from her big sis! Since Rigby's already grown bigger than Daisy, I'm guessing sooner or later (please, oh please, make it sooner) this lil pup will get a collar or harness (and tags) of her very own. It's not just the Simpson gals as both Tony and Pete get in on the dog carrying action, too.
While I prefer to let my pooch walk on his own four paws, if I was confronted with a great number of fans or paparazzi on the streets, I'd probably also be photographed with North in my arms most of the time – I wouldn't want him to get trampled, pull me off towards his new friends, or prevent my hasty exit. So, as much as I'd like to see these celebrity pets walk, I can understand the other factors in play to provide these great pictures to us.

I don't think it's strange. If Rigby is under 4 months of age, he shouldn't be walking on the ground in public places anyway because he could potentially pick up all kinds of bad diseases, including Parvo.
Which really sucks for people that have large breed puppies (imagine trying to keep a Great Dane puppy off the ground!)

2He should have a collar on whether she's carrying him or not. Most states (if not all?) have laws that you need to have your dogs registered with tags and what not.

I think at 4 months if he's at risk for catching Parvo, she needs to rethink her vaccination schedule.

6Oh, I definitely think he should have a collar on...for his Rabies tag (and microchip tag I hope!). The Rabies vaccination they get when they're 4 months old...so he'll probably have one soon.
As for the vaccination schedule...I agree Soniye, at 4 months it's not as big of an issue as it is when they're 2 months old, but since puppy vaccinations don't become fully effective until they've had the complete series...it's better to be safe than sorry.
7Rigby is a girl, first off. Second, she will definitely end up walking with all a coller and must likely a harness. Her big brother, Hemingway, used to be held all the time, but now that he's grown up, he walks like that.

9It's nice to see a celeb with a dog that's not a Pomeranian, Chihuahua, or Maltese. It's refreshing when it's a nice, big dog, especially one as cute as Ashlee's !!
