Let's be honest: sometimes our pets smell. And, try as we might to bathe them often and keep their bedding clean, sometimes that stink seeps into our entire home. P.U.! In addition to those standard air fresheners and aroma sprays, there are plenty of products out there to help us battle the smelly furmonsters like the Arm & Hammer Pet Fresh line with odor-eliminating foams, powders, and even a vacuum.
It's a bit overwhelming because they don't come cheap, and how will we know what will work . . . without making our house smell like a phony flower garden?! I'm curious to know what odor removers you include in your reek-wrecking army – so share all tips in the comments below!

I use Febreze Fabric Refresher. Lavender and Vanilla was my pup's fave. She loved fresh smelling blankies. Gosh I miss her
1i agree with CoronaLove - Febreeze works wonders. And, I also burn cinnamon or vanilla candles. However, I don't recommend using a bunch of things all at once - i have used the carpet scented stuff, plus febreeze, AND the candles before company came over and nearly knocked myself out from the overwhelming smells of the products!
2i use the arm & hammer pet odor eliminator on my carpets. i let it sit for about 15min and then vacuum up. i use it 1-2 times per week and the smell lasts. it's an inexpensive way to keep the house smelling good for lucy and i
3My big question is: is the Pet Fresh line any different from regular old baking powder?
4hmm..i use both of theses products at home and that a good point..would baking soda on the carpet give the same result. ya know with the out the flower scent.

6Febreeze works great because it actually binds to the odors and makes them too heavy to float on the air. Regular vacuuming of carpets, drapes, and furniture should take care of any "molecular residue" if you worry about that kind of thing. Since I'm not a fan of strong smells, I usually can't take the scented stuff without airing out the house afterward.
It also helps carpets to be cleaned every year or so. We use a carpet cleaning vacuum we got on sale and use anti-allergen cleaner in the reservoir.

We have all tile so it's not too much of an issue, but I do use febreeze on the couch and some carpets.
9Baking soda (allowed to sit and then vacuumed) on carpet, vinegar (then allowed to dry) on rugs/floors, washing soda in the laundry. I have also used Febreeze, but only do so before washing in the laundry, because I can't stand the fumes; I let it dry, and then wash as usual.
