North and I love going to Baker Beach here in San Francisco — it's by far our favorite place. And even though we have our pick of parks in the city, we don't really have a fave like we did back in NYC.

Some pups are pretty particular, especially since their neighborhood pals probably all take their romps at the same park every day. Does your pup have a favorite park in your city?

we don't have as many dog parks to choose from, only two. One is a big open area and one has small dog and big dog sides, we like that one much better!
1But our favorite place to go is the state park, I enjoy hiking as much as the pups do!
Ours isn't legal cause there's only one in Baltimore that is (and it's far away and crappy). But Wyman Park in Baltimore RULES.
2My dogs don't have a favorite dog park because they love to play with all dogs, however my husband and I do because the people at one dog park are much friendlier then the people at the other dog park. Though if there was a dog park with a pond I think my guys would like that one the best!
3We used to, but we moved! B-Bop LOVED the dog beach at Del Mar. He didn't go in the water, but would explore for HOURS! We miss the beach. Now we only have one park, but we don't go often because it's too hot. Even when the sun goes down (at like 8:30) it's still 100 degrees and he doesn't play. I wish he had some doggy friends to come over and play with!
4Our dog park isn't actually legal (there is a leash law that is kind of overlooked at the park), but it is fenced and lots of dogs go there. They say they are building a state of the art park in City Park here in New Orleans. Projects like that tend to take a loooong time here so we will see!
5my favorite dog park is point isabel - right on san francisco bay with gorgeous views of the golden gate and bay bridges. the dogs can swim in the bay and there are acres of land for them to run (it's an off leash park). it's absolutely the best.
6there aren't a lot of dog parks here in Las Vegas. and even if they were, it's way too hot to go during the summer. : (
7My dogs get really excited when we pull into the parking lot at Fort Funston in San Francisco. You can walk on the cliffs or go down to the beach and romp in the surf. It is also cool to watch the hangliders who often fly off the cliffs there. Overall, I really like it too, but I don't like it when there are a lot of dog walkers. They do not all have control of the dogs in their care, and they are all offleash. Some of them do seem to have control of all their dogs, which is pretty amazing, but all it takes is one person with 10 dogs and no control to cause quite a few problems in the park. I have only experienced this there during the week in the middle of the day. For the most part, it is a great park and a great beach!
8We only have one dog park in our city, but it rocks! It's huge, fenced-in, and they have a separate area for little dogs so they don't get trampled by the big dogs. Scout has lots of "doggie buddies" that she likes to see when we go to the park and she gets to play fetch and just sniff everything. Only downside is that it gets very muddy in the spring and requires me to bring a whole doggie clean-up kit with me in the car before we go home.
9We're in Atlanta and we're limited. Russell doesn't care where he plays but my family and I prefer Piedmont Park. Its really dog friendly plus there's a lot for us to do as well.
10I do NOT take my dogs to dog parks. Who knows what condition the other dogs are in? What if one of them has fleas or ticks, or hasnt had their rabies shots? What if its the first time for a dog and they freak out?
I go to meetup.com and find dog groups in my area. We meet at creeks, trails, back yards, someones land and let our dogs play. This is much more legit and all the dogs are usually socialized which is a lot better. I also think the people who go out of their way to find their dogs a safe place to play are much nicer than those who go to dog parks!
(Sorry if I come off as a dog park snob)
11She's happy wherever, whenever outside.
12my dogs have seen nothing but country side their whole lives....
13My big fenced in backyard!
14Our Yorkie has a touch of small-dog complex; he only gets along with extremely submissive dogs, so unfortunately we have to keep him at home. Or we take him to the people parks and keep him tightly leashed.
