All I can say is wow: In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Brooklyn, former flight attendant Lisa Wilson claims she was attacked by a German Shepherd belonging to Jennifer Lopez on a plane trip nearly two years ago! This former flight attendant is seeking $5 million in damages and lost wages as a result of this attack as the back injuries (and surgery) prevented her from working anymore.
The shocking event allegedly happened on July 3, 2006 on a private Gulfstream IV jet leaving from Republic Airport in Farmingdale, LI when private airline company, NetJets, assigned Wilson to this flight headed to California's Burbank Airport. Hear the rest when you read more.
"Floyd" is described in the manifest as "a well-behaved guard dog," yet Wilson alleges that the pooch is nothing of the sort, claiming that, as she walked by, the dog lunged for her, bit her pant leg, and sent her tumbling her to the ground. Wilson says that her attempts to settle the case have been ignored, hence the suit contending the couple is "absolutely liable for all injuries" because they "should have known the dog had vicious propensities," and kept it muzzled and leashed.
Wilson's also seeking damages from Lopez's company, Nuyorican Productions, although it's unclear (to me) what that has to do with the event. Maybe I'm just skeptical but it's the two years that passed that leaves me scratching my head – what's your take?

ummm 5 million??! give me a break. this chick is out to get her 15 minutes and a whole lot of cash if you ask me. i hope this gets thrown out.
1I agree ellejay. besides.. only after 2 years she decided to sue!? and amount of cash is ridiculous!!
2Give me a break. This is so ridiculous. My moms a mail carrier and been bitten NUMEROUS times, one time, pretty badly. And she's still working. How badly could the dog have bitten her that she can't work for the rest of her life? The thing doesn't even say it bit HER, jsut her pant leg and she fell. Regardless it's ridiculous
3Isn't there some sort of time limit on how long the incident occurs that you can still sue? I would think 2 years is a little too long. Plus, I mean, unless the dog bit her leg off, she could probably still work. I'm guessing the dog barely nipped her and it probably didn't even bleed. She's just looking for easy money.
4that's ridiculous!

Like she would have made 5 million had she kept working.
65 million for a dog bite???? this is dumb, if it were two reg. ppl it wuldnt be that pricy, does this amount of cash only include ppl if they are RICH???? thats makes me kinda angry.
luv Jen, hope she doesn't have to do it.
7Spectra, unfortunately you have 5 years to sue in something like this (at least in PA it may change from state to state). I learned this first hand and some people (especially if they are trying to get money) will wait 2, 3, even 4 years to take action. That doesn't mean I think its right though, just not unheard of or unusual.
8In Ohio and Kentucky there is a 2 year Statute of Limitations.
9Yeah, I'm in Wisconsin and our Statute of Limitations is also 2 years. Guess it's longer in CA...still, it's kind of ridiculous.
105 Mill. is way too much. It's only because J.Lo is crazy rich though. If it was a regular person, no one would sue for that much. well, I've been bitten by a dog its pretty traumatic I guesS (well i was pretty young) but it's not worth 5 million!
11Ugh! Crazy woman
12my puppy bit me when i was little. should i sue my parents. j/k lol
13This is ridiculous, it says the dog caught her pant leg and she fell, I am sorry but 5 mil$$ frivalous lawsuit for sure!!! I think some damages might be in order but sounds to me like this woman just wants a free ride. If this was a vicious attack the woman would have been mauled she might be entitled to that amount. I am guessing the dog wanted to play or something, I have shepherds and know many people that own them and if this dog wanted to attack the woman she would be complaining of more than just a back ache!!
14$5mill is a bit excessive. People are sooo incredibly sue happy, it isn't even funny!
