Even though I've seen these in stores in the past, I would definitely do a double take if I spotted one of these girls on the street. Though there are many variations of this baby doggy carrier, products like the Legs Out Front Pet Carrier ($27.50 and up) are designed to promote bonding. A lot of bonding. As much as LilSugar loves those slings to snuggle her babe, I don't think I'm ready to tote my pup legs out – are you?

a crazy bag-lady who lives nearby carries her pup in something like that...
1I actually might use one of those because sometimes I go out for walks that are too long for angus to join me on since he gets hot so quickly due to his smooshiness. In those cases, I would use this and sure people would stare at me, but I'd live and he would love it!
2wow this is crazy
3It doesnt look very comfortable for the dogs
4dogs arent babies, or purses, they shouldnt be carried everywhere.
5That's embarrassingly stupid.
6I think its funny looking when people carry their babies this way...
Needless to say, this is one of the dumbest looking contraptions I've seen in a while. Same with the strollers for dogs (or cats, or birds, or whatever).
MAYBE if the pet had a medical condition...other than just being overweight, then they'd NEED the exercise...but a perfectly healthy dog should be on the ground. Walking. Running.
7I saw someone carrying their poodle in one of these once. In Beverly Hills of course! I could not stop laughing. If the doggy really couldn't walk for whatever reason I'd rather just carry it in my arms.
8If the dog had a medical condition then maybe. But isn't the point of walking your dog to, you know, WALK THE DOG? I mean, this is for sure spoiled rotten (unless extenuating circumstances).
9I saw a woman with a dog in a baby carriage a few months ago. A BABY CARRIAGE!!!
Dogs are not babies. They like to run around and dig holes and eat poop.
10I have something very similar to this for my Shih-Tzu. She has some issues that prevent her from walking at times. This lets me take her on hikes and lets her see the world from a place where she feels safe. I know a lot of people think it’s ridiculous but if the pooch and I are okay with it I don't really care what others think. (I know she isn't a "baby", but she is my baby).
11This is really funny. I would never get one but I wish I had one when our oldest dog was a puppy. We would try to walk him and he would just sit there half way into the walk. Luckily I had my daughter in her stroller so we would have to put him in there for the rest of the walk.
12You know what I treat my dog like a baby! Because guess what she is! I would definitly use one of those carriers. If she didn't like it then of course I wouldn't make her wear it!
13That carrier is hella cute!! Its the same as dressing them up for Halloween.
AWWWWWWWWWW guys this isn't necessarily for "walking" the dog outside....it's more for the mall or something like that. I would LOOVVE to carry my poodle in that, So effing adorable.
14I really dislike this style of dog carrier because it must be incredibly uncomfortable for the dog, especially a male! It's a very unnatural position for a dog to be in for any length of time and I would worry about the strain on their back. Dogs like to feel something under their feet to feel secure and to be in that contraption with their hind feet sticking out in mid-air must be a really bad feeling and not a bit of fun! whoever designed such a thing was clearly not thinking of the dogs best interest.
