Even if you didn't choose to include a pet in your ceremony, have you ever been to a wedding where pets played a role? I'd love to hear all about – from what they wore and did to any disasters, please share how furry friends took part in the big day in your comments below!

that dog with the bride is freakin GORGEOUS!
1The dog with the groom is sooo fluffy and cute! What breed?
2yes my own HA!
3yep--just was at one where the flower girl was a dachsund and attended on a few years ago at an animal shelter and not only was the ringbearer a dog, so were many of the guests. everyone was well-behaved in both instances.
4Yep! My friends had their three dogs in the wedding, and the two male dogs had little tuxes on, and their female dog had a pink dress like the bridesmaids! It was too cute.
5At my parents hippie double wedding in the park (back in the 70's of course
) they
had 2 or 3 dogs wandering around the whole time. One memorable photo is of my parents reciting their vows, with dogs laying at their feet. Or next to the priest. Or with the guests (who were
lounging in the grass...no chairs!)
6When a couple friends of mine got married, the guy who set them up walked down the aisle with their dog. She looked so cute in her collar made of flowers.
7At my cousin's wedding, the bride's pomeranian was the ring bearer. Too cute.
8My best friend held her wedding at her mom's farm. During the rehearsal her mom's dog was loose and decided that he should walk down the isle too. So right before my friend and her mom walked down, the dog trotted down the middle of the isle. It was perfect and we all had a good laugh. He did go down the isle on wedding day, but this time he was leashed and escorted the bride and her mom (the bride's mother walked her down the isle).
9I never have attended a wedding w/ animals. I get the attachment b/t the couple and their "first child" though.
10Mine were at our wedding and they go to most of our family weddings. Everyone loves our Scottie Babies
11nope, I am allergic to cats and dogs and just about anything furry! I wouldn't be able to attend a wedding if animals were in close proximity!
12In 2004 I was a bridesmaid in a wedding that had the Bride's 12-year old Black Lab, Kez as a participant (sadly, he passed away a year ago). She was originally from London the Dog moved back and forth from the UK to US with her four times. He was her constant companion. He walked down the aisle between two of the bridesmaids. In the program he was listed as "Kez Bear - Dog of Honor". He mingled around all the guests all night too. It was so sweet, it was very natural to have him there, and just felt right, since he was such a part of her life.
13they're alaskan malamutes - BEST dogs in the entire world (mines called willow)
14um yeah. maine wedding. rotweiler. I am just gonna leave it at that.
