Although I love (and at times, couldn't live without) the convenience of grabbing a bag of North's fave treats on my way through the grocery store, I sometimes find the urge to dig into those "treat by the pound" buckets at nearby pet store, Babies, or even Petco if I happen to be there.
Sometimes it ends up being more expensive, but it's kinda fun picking out the treats you want instead of tossing a bag into your cart. But does anyone ever worry about germs on those treats that are open to whatever is floating around, or is it just me being totally paranoid? How do you buy your pet's treats?

I make some treats, I buy some treats. He usually has too many treats!
1Whenever I buy treats by the pound there are always some varieties that Bexley spits out and won't even eat! It worries me because this dog, like most, will eat anything so how bad could they be?!?! So, I usually only do this when he is with me at the store and give him a few.
2I buy them from time to time. My favorite is the rawhide bar from Petco- it's such a better deal than packaged rawhides and my dog goes through rawhides like crazy!
3When I HAD a dog, I just got whatever looked tasty for a dog at Wal
4Mart......but it felt degrading that even the pooch of the hosue had to resort to Wal Mart crap......maybe that's why Kodie ran away??
are there any recipes for dog treats on here?
