While I obviously know North can't help me decide what to eat for dinner, I still love the way he cocks his head to the side when I talk to him. Even though I sometimes chat him up, I can't say I have long, one-sided discussions with him . . . unlike Amanda Lorber on the MTV show, The Paper.

Don't you think her Westie, Gaby, has the most priceless expressions?! It's almost like the pooch is actually listening . . . but still, doesn't really care what's being said. However, it turns out she was actually speaking to her dog in order to not appear to be addressing the camera:
"I was always very hyperaware of the cameras being there," Lorber said. "I don't really talk to my dog all that much, that's so that I'm not looking directly at the camera. I didn't want to look like I was talking to myself, so we figured out I could talk to my dog."
How about you – do you chat it up with your pet even if no cameras are rolling?

I work from home and am alone all day long so I talk to B-Bop a lot. He stares at me when I talk so I think he's listening
I'm probably just confusing him really haha
1I talk to the girls a lot but I don't have long conversations with them. But I do ask them questions knowing that they will not answer me. LOL
2My cats frequently help me to make creative decisions. Adam especially. Tak to some degree. Frankeh & Samantha - not so much.
3i talk to max all the time..i know he gets at least some of what im saying!
4I talk to them of course they ARE after all members of the family and you dont ignore family
5I talk to all my guys, but my dogs more than the cats. I especially talk to the puppy (okay, he's 12 months...technically an adult) because he seems to get a kick out of the attention.
6I talk to my cat all the time. I don't have super long conversations with him, but I do talk to him. My cat know when I'm talking about him, food, getting brushed, or if he did something bad, haha.
7I DANCE SALSA WITH MY MIN-PIN. HEEHEE..
8i talk to my bichon all the time esp. when I have had a bad day and there is no one else around!!
9I don't often have a diatribe, but I do talk to my dog. Usually it's just telling him how great he is

14Yes, I talk to my oobers all the time, especially while I rub his tummy. He just gazes at me the whole time
15I have a habit of singing to my cats -- taking the lyrics of actual songs and tweaking them to make the song about my cats. They think I'm insane.
16who doesn't talk to their pets?! hehehe
17Kajivar- I do the same thing! I thought I was the only crazy one that did that!
18i talk and sing to mine all the time. since people make fun of me cause they think i think the dog understands i invented a language just for him. it is called the foriegn car exchange. all i do is start saying names of foreign cars and he gets all understanding looking and cocks his head at me and stuff like he understands me, way cute. now as a joke we all do the foreigm car exchange subaru
19I talk to my dog all the time. I think she can totally understand me
(and thinks I
am nuts...)
20My kitty answers me all the time. I assume different meows mean different things
21Every now and then. She seems to like it.
22All the time, and sometimes some of them talk back. My late Punkin and her adopted brother used to love having conversations with us -- they'd even start them sometimes.
