How stunning! I'm still a sucker for
baby animals (especially
exotic cats) so when I saw a newborn black Otorongo, I had to pass it along. This two-month-old Peruvian jaguar, known as an Otorongo (Panthera onca), was born at the Huachipa Zoo in Lima, Perú making it just the third jaguar ever born in captivity in that country.

The third jaguar ever born in captivity in Perú
I have to confess that, when repeatedly the name Otorongo appeared on my Inbox, the imagination, skillfully mis-taken by the hand of phonetics and wild feline demiurges, impelled my fantasy to the intense worlds of Africa, Black Magic or Santería.
How far from the glorious essence of the bearer of the jaguar species’ name: Otorongo (Panthera onca). The black two-month-old one adopted linguistically by my young but irreplaceable accomplice, Alejandro Norwint was born at the Huachipa Zoo in Lima, Perú.
Thank you, lil’ brother, for suffering from that healthy pathology of incessantly sharing the wonders that existence bestows.
