North's def a prepster (when he's not being a little bit punk rock, that is). Of all the fun styles from polka dots to camo, one pattern noticeably absent from his collection is madras – not only does it remind me of boat trips on the east coast, but it's a nice way to inject a summer style to pet essentials. Somewhere between patchwork and plaid, this fabric is super casual for those warm afternoons on the Cape. I personally love the Crewmutts line by J. Crew with three different color combinations in authentic cotton madras from India. The small bed is preptastically perfect for little crewmutts (or large crewcats) with this design on one side and acrylic sherpa on the other and, dare I say, it pairs nicely with matching leather-backed leashes and collars that you'll see when you read more.
