If you weren't already convinced that more than just dogs could use some outdoor interaction, this has to seal the deal. Not only did we see a kitty stroller, but now this Pak-o-Bird Carrier ($349 pictured here) and fold-able Stroller ($125) combo is made specially for your feathered friends that like to get out, but you know . . . not all the way out. The mesh and nylon travel cage comes with a dragon wood perch so your bird can travel comfortably, plus it can be used as a backpack when you aren't using the collapsible stroller.
I have to say, I was a bit surprised to see this, even though I mentioned that birds could (and should) get exercise outside with their own flight jackets – I just never would have thought of carting them along in a stroller! So, for you bird owners out there: Would you consider carting your avian pals around in a stroller?

Not a bird owner, so I have to say that it looks a bit odd...
1Hahaha that is kind of like touture! The birds would go crazy trying to get out!
2You have got to be kidding.
3lol...nuts.
4Ok ok, Molly just got me good with the Paris Hilton got married gag... you're not gonna get me so easy with this! A frigging BIRD stroller?? April Fools, please call us April Fools, because thi cannot be for real!
5too funny. Almost seems mean, like here birdy, here's your ALMOST freedom. But I don't have a bird so who knows. I see people that take walks with their birds on their shoulder, so if you couldn't do that I guess this is the next step.
6I think it's pretty cool! I was just thinking that I would like to take my bird outside sometimes. I used to clip her wings, but now I don't. I would be petrified to have her outside with full wings. This would definitely solve the problem! Funny, but kind of neat too. I would definitely not be paying that much money for it though!!!
7i'm sorry but this is ridiculous!
8Not a bird owner. But I can't help but think that the ferrets are getting screwed. Where's THEIR stroller?
9I think this is crazy. I can't imagine running into someone on the street walking with their bird in a stroller.
This wouldn't really allow the bird to get any exercise, would it?
10I think Parrots would love this. Parrots have the intelligence of a three-year-old child and need constant interaction, and of course it's not safe for them to fly around outside.
11So let me get this straight: this one is NOT an April Fool's joke?
12I believe this is real..not a joke!
13Hi from 2PARROT Lady, Here in Sunny Phoenix. I saw my first pet stroller with a minature poodle inside and it was inside a Phoenix WalMart when it was 115 degrees outside. We lose pets and children left in hot cars all the time, even have laws protecting them. There are times when the pets need to go to the vet/Dr.s all the way across the Valley. Even stopping to visit a friend or pick up a single item on the way can place these pets in life threatening situations in the overheated car. This can be an alternative.
14Crazy is those who obviously don't know the intelligence of parrots. They love action! Though they are somewhat shy to dogs/cats without some protection!
15Why not open your ignorant minds and see that animals deserve a chance to have a safe environment, coupled with fresh air.
Come-On, fashion accessories for dogs! And you can't see taking a bird out safely?
All I can say is "Don't buy a parrot. You don't know their demeanor and without a training class, for you (not the poor parrot) you absolutely don't deserve a bird!
Maybe a Goldfish is your start.....
Poor goldfish!
A bird stroller .......ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.......
I have a very well trained Indian ringneck. I have trained birds for many years, and people (non bird lovers) seem to always underestimate their intelligence!!
I always take my girl for walks in her stroller, and she loves it.. and YES i do get many looks from people.
Most of those looks; are genuine smiles and of interest.
FIRSTLY; I DO NOT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY OR THINK!!!!
AND
SECOND; I AM QUITE HAPPY, FOR PEOPLE TO LOOK AT ME STRANGE, FOR WALKING MY BIRD,
THE ONLY STRANGE ONES.. ARE THE ONES WHO KEEP THEIR POOR BIRDS IN A GAGE FOR THEIR WHOLE LIFE ???????
ANYONE FEELING GUILTY???????
16i hope so,
GET A GOLDFISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May look a bit odd, but FuzzyButt (African Gray) has one that gets used a lot! Because he cannot be around other birds for medical reasons and for those same reasons cannot fly though he is not clipped, this is his way to see, smell and be with the outside world. He enjoys it and so do the neighborhood folks. The steel screening helps prevent some airborne problems from getting through to him. This is the ONLY time he's inside a 'cage' environment.
17" stroller at a GoodWill. It will hold two stacked bird cages and hopefully our "Marley" yellow lab will attach to the front wheel and go in front of us. We have a trip planned in September that likely will include our animals and hopefully this will give us some outdoor time in safety. Only have to inflate the tires and it is ready to "Rock and Roll!"
18I will seek this out for a closer look. Savannah, my african gray, asks for and goes on outdoor walks regularly. She sits on a wooden perch attached to her "cat" carrier that sits inside a child umbrella stroller. The stroller above is much nicer as it looks good and is up right.
19It is pricey and I wonder how strong the screen is. I currently have a "heavy" back pack that I no longer use due to its weight. This could be a plus in several ways.
We take our parrot out all the time. We use a pet stoller for our shihtzu and the birds travel on the handlebar. They are full feathered and we use the Aviator harness.
Birds are very intelligent...hee is the reason we take them out- birds needs to be socialized so they dont become skittish or turn into pluckers.....they have very long life spans...so if they are used to people and something happens to the owner where the bird needs to be rehomed..they will not bite or attack the new owner.
I wouldnt buy this one because it is mesh and they could bite through it.
20One out of acrylic would be better.
