That's really sad. I can imagine it's really hard to lose a beloved pet!

Your pets are an extention of your family, it's like loosing a very close member of your family. At least the dog had a great life.

I was so saddened to read what Oprah wrote about Gracie I cried and now she has lost another one. So sad.

They were both sweet-looking dogs. She clearly loved them dearly.

I feel the pain for the lose of her baby, I lost Elmowinston my 12 year old bassett hound in Jan. and am stillsick over it.

Just the THOUGHT of losing my Sake to Me sends me into tears. I'm so sorry Oprah, I know Sophie was your beloved!

She just mentioned her the other week when Charlize Theron was on the show!

I was very, very sad to hear this tragic news. I had no idea Sophie was sick! Oprah must just be heart-broken! ! I'm glad that Sophie lived a long and happy life. But that doesn't take the pain away. Heck, I'm getting teared up just typing this. I know that Sophie is still there with Oprah, in spirit. And Oprah will meet her again in heaven, hopefully very soon. Atleast Sophie has a friend up there, Gracie. I wish the Winfrey dogs and Oprah the best, and feel free to grieve in peace.
