4This is terrible! Pet Stores are where PUPPY MILLS sell their animals. The puppy mills don't sell well bred, socialized puppies, they sell an often sick commodity of animals.
5This game glorifies the idea of pet stores! NO reputable breeder will EVER have anything to do with a Pet Store. I believe this gives kids the wrong idea - they should be taught to run a rescue/shelter!!!! UGH.
I'm with you Krista, this is the opposite of what animal lovers should support.
6I am emailing the Powers over at Playfirst and letting them know my concerns. I have also notified the dog group that I am a part of, who will also convey their issues with this game to Playfirst.
7Seriously people, it's just a game. I opened this post just to see how many people would start a "pet shops are evil" tirade. We all already know that, we don't need to hear it every single time the words "pet" and "shop" are brought up, so stop preaching.
8Aliza, people DON'T all already know that pet shops are bad. That's why they exist, and games like this don't exactly help to break down the all-is-well reputation that pet shops still have.

All the puppies and kitties in the game are rescued from a pet shelter. In fact you even get a "store pet" to help you that came from an animal shelter. This game has nothing to do with puppy mills, and is all about good responsible pet care. Have a look for yourself, oh and I agree. It is JUST A GAME.
