Training a new puppy can be a tough job. One of the toughest has to be potty training! But fortunately with persistence and love, your pup will get the hang of the whole peeing-outside-not-on-the-carpet thing. But for some people, being there when your puppy really needs to go can be a problem.
Indoor potties just might help your pup learn where he can go, verses where he can't, during those times you are away – and I've got pals with small dogs that use a variation of this product. So, if you're a fan of the indoor potty idea, tell me what you think of this luxe Penthouse Indoor Potty! Coming with the platform, K9 grass, drainage tray, easy clean-up catch pan . . . and, oh, a $450 price tag, this one may just break the bank.

There are companies that make cheaper versions that are a little less fancy. I know here in Portland there is a company that comes in as often as you like and change the fake grass for you. My friends have something similar and they clean it all the time and the company comes in to replace the grass. Its kind of nice to open the balcony door and the dogs run out and use it.
1I like these, but I don't know how practical they are. If a dog goes potty on it there will always be a little, uh, residue. That means the top will get dirty and either need deep-cleaned, or replaced. It's probably easier to use a disposable variety, or something else entirely. If there is a simpler solution, I think this would be worth it.
2I don't think it's that bad of an idea. I mean, what if you live in an apartment or somethhing. It is such a pain to go all the way downstaris and walk around with your pup. If they just have to go peepee then this would be smart!
3I think it is a great alternative if you lived in an apartment, as long as they do not smell. But it is still a bit crazy.
4If I lived in an apartment this would be good. I guess and if I had a dog!
5this is something i definitely need when my girl aussie comes into heat. however, i wouldn't pay that much for it! instead, i'm thinking of getting a small kiddie pool and fillig it with shavings or something else that i can completely empty out when i get home from work. i'm thinking i can do the whole thing for under $50.00.
6I love it. I can't help myself.
7i'd want one from my dog, but this one's too expensive. where could i find a cheaper one?
8Little much for me.
9I think it spoils the owner more than the dog.
You don't have to go out if you
don't want! lol I have been trying to think of something I can do similar to this for cheap on my balcony.
10This is a good idea for penthouse and apartment owners, something like this would also be practical for people that live where the weather gets bad and rains and snows, something you can put in the basement or garage for rainy and snow days!! I can see a practical use for something like this!!
11You can so make one your self for cheaper than that. Heck if you are handy you can do it or if ur not get a handy man (dad, bro, & boyfriend) to make it for you. Its exactly the type of gift/project handy people love to do. Also I think I would actually use real grass because i dont like the idea of fake grass for my dogs business (and you can replace grass for not that much).
