What is the best dog shampoo you have used??? I like my dog clean and smelling fresh...I do not like those bargain shampoos that are such a pain to use.
Both my shih-tzus get this... my vet just prescribed eye drops... they are supposed to clear the protein from the eyes and drain into those areas and avoid the stains... just started using them...
Ask a groomer. I use coat handler on my shih tzus its nice. Try Petedge.com. My dogs have stains and I am now starting to use the organic apple cider vinager
Kassie gets a similar stain but at her mouth. I think its from old age and drooling (she pants a lot cause she gets hot from all her hair....she is being shaved soon)
Yeah, let me know what works for you and where to get it at (if it's a product)! My beagle has the tear stain problem too.
I saw in a catalog (Solutions.com) there is a product called Angels Eyes. The price range is from $24.95 to $69.95. They show a before and after picture. I have not personally tried it, but it's an idea. Good luck!
Try Clear Tears (Clear Tears) best bang for your buck hands down - works without question. Ive used the others like angles eyes with success but it is too expensive imo
I'm not sure if you've tried it yet but with Angel Eyes I didn't see any immediate changes and my shih tzu stopped enjoying her food. It is VERY bitter and the reviews I read seem to show most dogs hate the taste.
Someone told me that contact lens cleaning drops really work because they're designed to desolve proteins. And obviously, they've very safe for the eyes.
