It's the moment I've been waiting for! The results are in for all seven groups. I've listed the competing pups and the last time their breed took Best in Show at Westminster:
| Group | Breed | Name | Last Won In |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hound | Beagle (15-in.) | Uno | Never |
| Terrier | Sealyham Terrier | Charmin | 1977 |
| Non-Sporting | Poodle (Standard) | Remy | 1991 |
| Herding | Australian Shepherd | Deuce | Never |
| Sporting | Weimaraner | Marge | Never |
| Toy | Poodle (Toy) | Vikki | 1961 |
| Working | Akita | Macey | Never |
See who won it all when you read more.
Hooray! Look at Uno, the Best in Show at the 132nd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show! Of all the groups, the hounds have suffered the longest drought in the final ring – it's been 25 years since a member has taken Best in Show when an Afghan Hound won in 1983! But, enough with the history, I'm so crazy for this pup that I'm working on a gallery of cute piccys of him in the ring receiving his title – this won't be the last you see of Uno being número uno!

As a beagle owner, I was SO happy that Uno won. Yay, Uno!
1me too!!! i am a proud beagle owner and my little one was howling when uno got top dog!!
2Awesome! That was one perfect little beagle! I'm so glad he won!
3I couldn't agree more with the winner! Snoopy would be so proud!
I have a question though: What does the "CH." stand for next to the show names of the dogs? Does it mean Champion?
4I found out on Wikipedia....it means Champion, and dogs can use that as a title when they earn 15 points in any show.
Either way, all the dogs that come to Westminster are winners inside the ring and out!
5Yeah Aussie for being top in the Herding.
6Yay for the beagles! My mom has two so I know she's happy today.
7I looovve the chart!
8All the dogs at Westminster are already champions through the AKC (you have to be to go to the show). Westminster is the best of the best. It's great to see so many dogs make Group 1 who haven't been winners before. Makes me think some of the politics behind who wins are lessening. How great to see an Aussie out there - and a red one, too. And, good for the beagle - cute little thing.
9He's ridiculous. So. Cute.
